Update: Northwest Hydraulic Consultants speaking at the May 12th 2022 meeting with the West Boundary residents as we review the draft floodplain maps for the Kettle River (Rock Creek to Midway) and West Kettle River (Carmi to Beaverdell).
Information on the upcoming Public Engagement: May 12, 2022
The RDKB has hired Northwest Hydraulic Consultants (NHC) to develop and update flood mapping in the Boundary Region. There are 4 locations in progress:
- Beaverdell – Carmi (ready for public consultation)
- Rock Creek to Midway (ready for public consultation)
- Rural Grand Forks (draft maps expected July 2022)
- Christina Lake and Christina Creek (draft maps expected fall 2022)
Come join us on Thursday, May 12th to see the West Boundary flood maps. Provide your input, see what has changed from previous maps, listen to RDKB staff talk about how they will be incorporating the maps.
Open house from 3:30-6:30pm followed by a presentation from Northwest Hydraulics (Engineering consultants), RDKB Emergency Management, RDKB Planning Department and RDKB Energy Specialist (Climate Change).
