2026 BIWS Grant

The RDKB is once again accepting applications for their annual Boundary Integrated Watershed Service grant. Please download the document below for more information. Closing date: Monday, March 02, 2025. This grant was developed to provide financial support for community watershed projects and engagement.

Eligible applicants can be:

  • Not-for-profit organizations
  • Community coalitions and stewardship groups; under a not-for-profit umbrella organization that will administer the funds
  • First Nations governments and organizations
  • Schools or school districts

Successes!

Congratulations to the 2025 BIWS award project grant winners – School District 51, BC Wildlife Association, Boundary Forest Watershed Stewardship Society and the Okanagan Nation Alliance (Fisheries).

These winners are actively working to implement the goals of the Boundary Watershed Management Plan, which “envisions a healthy, resilient and sustainable Kettle River Watershed, which functions to meet the needs and values of its communities, who in turn act as stewards of the watershed”

Eligible applicants, from the following list, can apply for the BIWS grant by next year’s deadline of March 2026:

Invasive Sp. Enviro Tech

Boundary Invasive Species Society (BISS) has just posted their annual summer Invasive Species Environment Technician position! It’s a great opportunity to learn, give back and work with great people; all of this while getting paid here in the Boundary region. Deadline to apply is April 7, 2023.
