Drought update Aug8, 2022

A quick look at the water level and drought related conditions here in the Boundary Region.

RDKB Documents: Boundary Region Drought Response Plan and Kettle River Watershed Drought Management Plan.

BC Drought Information Portal has a new tab called “Kootenay-Boundary Stream Watch” where they have divided the Kettle River watershed into 5 separate watersheds to help improve drought communication and reporting for the Boundary. What do you think? Does having more detail regarding drought conditions in the Kettle River Watershed help with your planning or understanding conditions?

Next update planned for the end of August, unless conditions warrant otherwise.
